They can also be dyeable?

I would like to be able to decorate my pets a bit. Give them a little more personallity. Just my opinion. I hope some agree.

I'm against this wholly. :/ Dressing up creatu is taboo. Neopets did it and got a huge negative response from many of the loyal fans of the website and even from those who don't go on there.

I think dress-up games should stick with human avatars.

I am against clothes, but collars/flowers/ribbons wouldn't harm anyone. I think Reapy meant something like that.
Not for the profile pets, but once the pet can be added to HA, I would love if we could add some "accessories" on that, like the fashion shopkeeper's Paor and the Clothes Quest girl's Roditore has necklace^^.

Semi-support.

And by the way not everyone hates Neo for dressing up their pets. I -for one- like it. (Not saying to add that to Res, but still). And on the other hand, Neo keeps the site stricktly for the pets, with no human characters involved. Some people were against adding the human shopkeepers/avatars on Res.
The two sites follow different policy, none of them is better than the other. I think there is no need to always drag out Neo as a bad example :/. Sorry, just my two cents in there, as someone who loves both sites for entirely different reasons.

I understand not everyone hated it. I said it received a huge negative feel for it. lol. I remember the day it happened. Practically everyone in the HC threw a huge fit because of it and the rest threw a fit because of those throwing a fit. o_o Chaos~ Rofl. And I don't mean to bring it out in a negative example. I'm just thinking of any sort of example and Neopets is the only website that has done that. That's what makes it both unique and leaves a bit of bitter feelings from some.

I do like the idea of collars and stuff but my main concern is the work-load. Would it be just for those creatu that are adults? Could you imagine putting a collar on a bear or Ardur? lol.

We have a lot of work to do before we can get to this point in production, but it's not out of the question.

I am sure that if we kept it moderate, it would be very nice. And just because Neo did it, doesn't mean we can't do it. I think Res would have a better and more unique way. The fact that Neo-Cash came into play and they converted all of the pets and almost every wearable thing on there costs real money and/or is tacky is what actually ticked people off.

NO SUPPORT

Sorry guys, but every time I see a RT pet that's been dressed up, I flinch. I know they hate being all dressed up. Collars or bells maybe, but if you've ever tried to put flowers on a pet you'll know they get destroyed rapidly.

I wouldn't mind collars/ribbons for pets (especially if they have special properties which increase stats or prevent training injuries or stop a pet getting hungry or something XD).

But that's it. :u

I think it would be cool to have collars and leashes (which the human avatar would hold). *imagines leashing a haberisar* But I agree with no other clothes than simple stuff.

This is lovely and all, but if we did this, what is the point in Kioka's having ribbons? The day Neo did this, I cursed the site and left for good. That is a huge deal because I was obsessed with Neo. Also, it is only a small step by adding small items right now, but the next minute, people will be wanting full blown outfits. Pet dressup just screams middle school to me. Res has always had a mature feel to it. I don't want that being disturbed.

Also, human avatars are no new thing to Res. Ever since I can remember, there has always been a sentence at the bottom of every page saying "Rescreatu is a fun, free virtual pet game. Raise your pet, play many strategic games, and dress up your avatar." Clothing items have been around for the longest time. I don't see how it could surprise someone. o__o

Something will be here eventually.

There's still a point to the kioka's ribbons, even if a creatu has a ribbon placed on it. The kioka is born with ribbons and was almost hunted to extinction because of it. I see no reason how one little ribbon on another pet will ruin the kioka's ribbons of epic win.

Which reminds me, maybe you should only be able to place like, one or three things on your pet. You know, keep 'em less cluttered.

"it is only a small step by adding small items right now, but the next minute, people will be wanting full blown outfits. "

...So what? o_0 People always want this and that. What will be provided will depend on staff/Patrick anyways. People always cry for breeding, and so what?
If staff decides to add a few collars for the pets, they are not obliged to add jackets and hats too. I still think that a few and not extreme addition cannot hurt.

"Clothing items have been around for the longest time."
Creatu collar items also exist on Res, I own several.

And by the way I was on Neo too when they introduced the clothes, and I was not happy about it, not because of the clothes (heck, noone forces you to put them on your pet), but because they changed the pets' basic position. Noone suggested anything like that here. We are talking about the pet that will be displayed next to your HA (if I am not mistaken). The basic form of the pets should stay as it is.
