I am not trying to pick on newbies in particular, but this has become an issue.

My idea is: When anyone creates a account on Res, the first page they see is the Help Page. This tells them the rules, and the basics of this game. This prevents many problems, questions, and makes less hassle when first starting Res.

Also. When they first enter Forums, they would be directed to the Forum's Rules. This would prevent discussion of not open to debate topics, necroposting, and spam.

I'm sure people here are honest, but on any website, it's easy to say you are older than you are. But, when you speak with others, and show your maturity, many can guess that you are younger than you say. Maybe there could be a maturity test, or something. I feel like I'm babbling here, but I'm really trying to think of a solution. Or a rules test, where you're quized about the rules on Res, making sure you know correctly.

I am not excluding myself. When I first began Res, I was very confused. I was asking multiple questions on the SB, creating hysteria. Only after two weeks on Res, did I find the Help Page. I would have started quite a bit better if I had known the rules and basics of the game.

I know many would say, 'That's why we love Res. You have to figure it out yourself.' Yes, I know that, but I mean broad basics.

Support? Or add-on ideas? :)

I agree they should be directed to the rules and help page when they first sign in. It would keep them from having to ask where it is; however, it'll be a whole nother challenge to get them to actually read it. xD!

If we kept directing them places it'd get a bit bothersome. I believe at some point we'll have the rules in one place or we'll have an alert reminding people to read the forum guide lines.

Maturity test? No. Rules test? maybe. I'd like to see if users actually know the rules without having the leisure of going and looking them up.

Maturity test?

Also, users can google or ask around for the answers. We already have a maturity test - the way they type.

Let's say a nine year old claims to be nineteen, when they type this:

lol we shud get new craetu u knoe!!!11 n i think we shud also get free onmi 2! help me get free onmi

instant nine year old alert.

xD People always say I sound older than I actually am when I type. They think I'm much older than I actually am because some people say I sound "mature," especially during RP's. :P I think it's a nice compliment. I suppose I may be considered more mature than most students in my class. Although, many of my friends tend to be a little immature and slightly on the odd side. xP

I definitely support the idea of transferring them to the Rules page, but I don't exactly approve of the idea of a maturity test. The rules test though, is a nice touch. :3
