Now, I'm a big contributor as far as Credit Shop items go; I tend to buy most of them with real cash, as I don't mind supporting sites I like.  :>  Recently, I've found that I wanted to completely change everything about one of my creatu.  Name, Gender, and Color.  And true, we have nametags, gender pendants, and natural color jelly beans for that.

However, I really only want one of each.  For me to spend $30 to buy each group of things separately is a bit pricey for me right now.  :/  So I thought, 'wouldn't it be nice if there was a package that included one of each instead of in groups of 3 or 4?'

My idea for a Makeover Kit is kinda like a goodie bag, which has 1 name tag, 1 gender pendant, and 1 natural colored jelly bean inside for around 80 credits.  It's still a CS item, but only contains one of each thing, and it's sort of like a complete makeover for 1 pet.

I'm not exactly sure if this will raise issues with the 'value' of each individual item, as it could probably be sold as a whole to get all 3 items, or opened and each one would appear in someone's inventory.  And people would still need to get additional nametags the 'old fashioned way' if they wanted to transfer names.

But I know if one of these existed, I'd totally buy it.  XD  It just seems efficiant to me.

That's a brilliant idea. I really like the concept of a Makeover Kit. I support this!

No support, sorry. This would take business away from merchants, and at the suggested price, you could get a 4th bean for 20 credits. Wanting to support the site is great, but I dont feel that this is really a good way to add to that.

I think only a very few people would ever use that pack, it is such a specific request :/.

And actually if you buy the 3 Jelly Beans, you shouldn't have any problems trading two for a name tag and a pendant.

@ Le Tainted and dragonita:  >u<  Thanks!  <3

@ 14brokenmirrors:  I'm not a merchant myself, but I'm not exactly sure how it would take business away from them.  They would probably be able to sell the kit itself at the price of all 3 items together, or slightly under to make it more of a bargain but get more tu quicker then trying to sell things individually. OR they could open it themselves and sell each item individually at their normal price.

My credit price was an estimate based on what the individual price of the items in it would be, that can be changed.

Why is it that you think this would take business from merchants?  And how is it not a good way to support the site?

@ Yaizhbeen: I don't know about that.  People buy individual CS items all the time, this is just a grouping of 3 different ones.  Hard to judge what people would go for.  Also, Beans are worth more than tags and pendants by just a bit.  I wouldn't say it's exactly an 'equivalent exchange'.

It'd come in a pack so people who want just a Natural Colored Jelly Bean would go to merchants, not turn to the credit shop for the pack. I think it would balance out in respect of demand. Not everyone is looking to buy all three of those items at once, they usually want one or two. If we price it out well, I think there will be little attention taken away from Merchant shops.

It might also discourage the purchase of the regular packs of beans, tags, and pendants. Unless this was sold as a cash-only option, I can't see it being any benefit to the site at all. When available for purchase with TU, it would profit anyone who purchased this way then sold in the merchant shop, and not profit the site at all.

If a pack of already-existing items were sold this way, in order to be beneficial to the site, it would have to cost at least 100 credits. It would be more expensive to purchase with TU versus purchasing the packs of 3 and 4 with TU, but less expensive to purchase with real money.

@ 14brokenmirrors:  I.. was thinking that it was a cash-only option.  o_o'  Being sold in the credit shop along with the other regular things.

I wasn't trying to take away from the credit shop, it was meant to be a CS item.  XD  And I suppose 100 credits is a reasonable price.  I probably should've done more of the math figuring before even venturing to guess at a credit price.  I never buy credits with tu, only with cash, so I forgot to figure that in.

Oh, I know you weren't trying to take away anything, I'm just debating all possible points here <33

Right now, we don't have a cash-only option, but I wish we did. I think it would be nice to give cash-paying users access to items that are not available by converting credits to TU. Sort of like a special perk for showing financial support to the site.

80 credits would be perfectly reasonable as a cash-only option, btw. =)

@ 14brokenmirrors:  It's all good.  XD  I think I was only confused about where you were coming from because I completely forgot that people buy credits with tu.  Derp on me.  Outta know the system a bit more before trying to add to it, so that was my bad.  <u>'

And I think a cash only option would be pretty nice.  :o!  I know I'd definitely appreciate something like that, though if it ever does happen, it probably should come with or after some things completely unrelated to the credit shop.  I mean, I personally don't mind, but occasionally I've heard some people saying that the only major updates have been CS related lately, and that they wish more would be 'all access' type things.

Not that I know either way, hearsay is hearsay, and I haven't been back here long to claim any knowledge on the subject myself.  I don't really see any issue, I just think a cash-only option or perk would be really awesome, as well as make sense, and wouldn't want it to be lost in some kind of uproar or something.  XD  Really do hope that can happen someday though.

I find it strange that you support a 100 credit price for the pendant-bean-tag pack, but you think buying 3 beans for 100 credits and trading two beans for a tag and pendant is not equivalent 0_o. It would perfectly fulfil your needs at the very same 100 credit price.

And if you insist on the bean is worth more than tag/pendant thing, you can ask for some additional TU on the trade, and you could even gain on the business.

@ Yaizhbeen:  I personally find them worth much more.  In the shops, beans are worth 5 - 6 mill.  Nametags are worth 3.8 mill, and gender pendants are about the same, but tend to sell for 3.6.  It is possible that I could get tu in addition, but if I bought a pack of beans, I'd be a lot less likely to want to give them up, as I tend to use them a lot, and they're hard to come by.

I don't know if it makes a lot of sense, but that's what I'd do, because I know I'd need the beans again in the future, and it'd be more likely of me to raise 3.8 mill to buy the tags / pendants out of the shops than to buy beans again with tu.

I'd be paying $10 for efficiancy with the Makeover Kit, not $10 for a hassle.

But that's my opinion.

I expect there will be some changes in the CS in V3 that will solve some of the problems pointed out with this idea.

This pack sounds like a nice product to me and I would like to see it work out. :}
