Okay, so I'm not usually one of the ones to start a thread like this, but it has EASILY come to my attention about the hate and love threads we have going around Rescreatu. Now, I think both things are important to Rescreatu. We need to have a good balance between what we think is good and what we need to change.

First, I would like to speak about the love threads. Yes, the few that have popped up because of the "hatred" that is "poisoning" the Res community. I think the idea and concepts for these are wonderful, and if the majority of the user base thinks these are helpful, then good! But please remember, that as much love as we try to put out into the system, unless we're receiving the benefits of this, then what's the point? To feel happy for a few moments? To gain popularity? To become more famous than before because of our "good deeds"?

Of course, I am not here to pass too much judgement. Please, do as you will. As a user of Rescreatu, you have the freedom to speak your mind and to do as you please without breaking the rules. If you want to make a thread about how much you love puppies, go ahead. No one is going to stop you. The beauty about it is that you can post whatever you want, and as long as you're not breaking ANY rules, you can have as much freedom as you please.

Now, onto what I truly want to speak about. The ideas behind the "hate" threads that have popped up all over the site. I'm sure to many of you who have spent plenty of time on Rescreatu are used to how things are, but there are some users who aren't pleased with the way things have happened to their beloved site. So, they spend their precious time writing something they feel strongly about, trying to put this out in the world of Rescreatu, hoping that it'll reach the userbase and help out the site.

The users who seem to be spreading "hate" and "animosity" still have HOPE FOR THIS SITE. They are the ones who speak up, who want change. If they didn't care, then they wouldn't say anything. A lot of these people are not filled with hate, they are filled with passion and worry and feelings that they can't express out loud. They share their aggravation and annoyance with the userbase in hopes of getting a "hey, I agree!" or a "I totally understand what you're talking about."

Then there are users, who instead of trying to understand what the aggravated user is talking about, try to put them down and say that "Its not a big deal" and "Stop mentioning this, it isn't important." Yeah, it might not be a big deal to YOU, but it is to them. They are trying their hardest to get others to understand and you can't even give them some time of your day to try and understand? The user only wants to be heard, to have their thoughts and feelings be appreciated. So what if it might be a negative view of a feature on Res? So what if they're criticizing a feature on the site? The user only wants to make the site better, and that's why they're mentioning it.

Telling someone to stop talking about a subject that they find important, or to tell them to drop something they're fighting for is putting the user down and making the thought in the back of their mind saying, "These people on Rescreatu really don't care about the site at all. Why should I?". The people who put other users down for their criticism and their ideas on how to make the site better make these users leave and never come back. Is this how you want to be seen? To be the people who make the idealists, the planners, the creators, leave this site?

Please, become a person who listens to others, who tries to provide interesting and thoughtful feedback. So many people add hate and animosity without even realizing it.
