i believe whenever there is a glitch there should be alerts sent out or rather updates. i recall we've had the food pen glitch for quite some time and we know so little about what they're actually doing about the glitches and what has been done already.
The food pen glitch doesn't affect the entire site. It only affects a few users, and the reason why is unknown. If the reason was known, it would be fixed.
As for the rest of the site glitches, they are being fixed gradually in the new version. Once that version is released, most glitches we know of now will be fixed.
