I'm going to be a bad person for a second and compare Res with Furry-Paws.

In FP, before you sign up you have the option to look around and stuff with a "Demo Account". This account never changes, and the settings are the same each time someone uses it.

I see some NPCs in the Online list. Perhaps we could make something like that.

Some stuff you could do is hatch a pre-selected pet: Zenirix, for example.

You could feed it something, maybe dye it (with the explanation that the dye kits are expensive, of course)?

Kind of like a tutorial/demo.

Of course, it would have to be the same for everyone: pet, name, etc.

Opinions?

D: this would be a huge spoiler for new users! I love Res because you have to figure stuff out on your own. You have to do te research and such to be successful and with a demo account, that would spoil everything. We already have the Help Page for helping with pricing and things so that crosses out tutorial. That's the fun of Res us figuring a this fun stuff out! And you get te glory that you did it on your own! You would never know that you can dye a pet until you join! That's the fun part! That is basically Res. And there's a reason why a thing pops up and says "you can't access this part when you're not logged in" or whatever it says xD it lures the user in and they create an accout. If demo accounts were in progress, it would ruin the fun of everything o3o so, enough of my blabbing xD Great idea, but no support ~

Even though I agree with Katiee about the whole disovery thing, this would prevent a lot of unwanted accounts. :)

I'm not sure if we will do this exactly, however, we do intend on making some type of tutorial/learning experience for new accounts with v3.  It hasn't been figured out completely yet, so suggestions are appreciated.
