A friend of mine told me that in Version 1 Rescreatu you were able to choose one of your pets to battle somebody else's. To get to the 'Battle Grounds' as they so unoriginally dubbed it you clicked the sword icon on the top. Now when you click the Sword Icon it just reloads your page :c

So I was thinking that maybe we could get this feature again? It would be a blast trying it out xD

Staff are currently working on a fully revamped battle system, it will come out once they complete it.

Yes, v2 came around when the "hacked" thing happened

V2 came around months and months after the hack occurred. I wasn't around for the hack, I was around for 3 months before V2 came out. V2 came out at the beginning of Summer '09

I've heard that the hacked occured September last yeat. Research goes far 8D

The hack didn't do anything to the battle system. It was really basic and was left untouched for years so what was there to do to it? xD

I never battled it's a known fact i cant train creatu so i pay wind to do it. X) sad but true but i know it went down when the hack occured or around that time
