I'm thinking of writing a War Story, set in about 1920-1925 at the start... maybe skipping a few years, or perhaps in the end to 2011, when a group of Journalists visit the place where the main characters at the start of the story lived and were buried. I could also throw in a secret that the Journalists could find out? Something about Hitler.
I've kind of made a start to it, only a sentence, but I was wondering if you'd read on if you read this~
"What took you so long? I got worried! I though that, that..." Sadness poured into my hoarse voice. A few of the people that sat around me nodded grimly in acknowledgement.
