Zack and Cody Martin entered the Tipton Hotel for the first time in their lives with their mother, Carey Martin. "Welcome to your new home." Carey smiled excitedly. Just then London Tipton stormed out of the elevator with her cell phone. "Maddie! Where are ya?!" "I'm right here!" Came the familiar voice of Madeline Fitzpatrick walking through the revolving doors, passed Zack, Cody, and Carey. Zack just stared at the tall blonde. Maddie walked to London. "Hi, London!" "Can't you see I'm talking to Maddie on the phone, Maddie?" London glared at Maddie and talked in her cell phone. "Where?!" Maddie just rolled her eyes and hung up. "Hello?" London asked in her phone, confused. She put it away in her purse. "Maddie! How dare you hang up on me!" Maddie slapped herself in annoyance and walked to the candy counter. She smiled and fixed her tie, flattened her skirt, and took off the 'Closed' sign. Zack only stared.
Zack's POV:
I thought I was in love. The girl of my dreams just walked into the hotel. I gotta find out her name! Someday, she'll be Mrs. Martin, and I'll shampoo her incredibly awesome blonde hair! I ran to the counter. The girl was shuffling everything around the shelf. She looked over her shoulder, and smiled at me. She tossed a chocolate bar to the counter. "Welcome to the Tipton." I smiled like an idiot as she turned her whole body around and sat on the stool. "Hi!" She said. Where have I heard that voice before? Ashley Tisdale? I went back to my thoughts. "Er, hi." "What's your name?" "Zackary, but I go by Zack." "Ah, nice name. I'm Madeline Margaret Genevieve Miranda Catherine Fitzpatrick, but I go by Maddie." The girl told me. I laughed a little. "Wow, that's long!" "Meh, my parents like long names." Maddie giggled. I knew for a fact that I am going to have a wonderful time at this hotel. "Well, I gotta go. My mom's probably waiting for me while checking in." "Okay. Seeya around, Zack." Maddie leaned over and kissed my cheek. I smiled hugely at her and ran off to the front desk. Wow, her accent was so amazing!
Maddie's POV:
Well, I feel good about myself. That kid, Zack, is so cute that I want to pinch his little cheeks! He seems young for his voice, though. London ran to me. "Maddie! That kid was so staring at you!" "What do you mean, Lon?" I asked. "That kid was staring at you!" London repeated. "He's cute! You should date him!" "Say what?" I stared at London oddly. "London, I'm fifteen years old. That kid might be twelve. Do you realize how insane that would be?" "Age is just a number!" London groaned. She noticed some other kid that looked exactly like Zack. "Hm, he looks smart... And single!" She skipped off to him. I laughed and shook my head. "Crazy London."
No POV:
Zack was already upstairs, playing video games. London Tipton was talking to Cody- wait, flirting with Cody. Cody was confused of what was going on. He grew scared of her and upstairs to the new suite. "Maddie..." Cody blinked. "No, it's Cody. Who's Maddie?" He sat next to his twin on the floor. "This amazing girl I met in the lobby. Cody, I know for sure this isn't a crush.. this is love..." "Zack, you're being ridiculous!" Cody rolled his eyes. "I'm going to bed." Zack handed his controller to Cody and walked to the new bedroom. He took the one that was on the left side and cuddled with the blankets. He smiled at how comfortable he was and fell asleep soundlessly.
Zack's POV:
I yawned and scratched my eyes. There she was again, that blonde.. Sitting on my bed? No, that can't be.. I must be dreaming. "Morning." She said in her soft accent. "Morning." I replied back, sitting up. "What are you doing here?" She just smiled and said "Just thought I'd drop by before work to see my favorite kid." I grinned and leaned on Maddie's shoulder. Hm, her work uniform was comfortable. She put her arms around me. I cuddled with her. "Morning!" Mom opened the door. "Morning." Cody woke up. "Morning." I said. "We're having pancakes with chocolate chips. Maddie, would you like to join us?" "Sure." Maddie let go of her grip and stood up. She kissed my forehead. I turned red as a tomato. I stood up, and she held my hand. We both walked out of the room to the table. "What are your hobbies?" Mom asked as she took the batter. "I sing and dance, play the guitar often. I'm also the lead singer in a band. Waterworks." Maddie told her. "Care to sing for us?" Carey asked, pointing to a blue guitar with black stripes. Hm, she must of left it here when she came to me. "Sure." Maddie picked up her guitar and began singing.

Mom, Cody, and I clapped. Maddie smiled. "Thanks. I'm planning on singing at the Christmas ball." "But Christmas is in six months!" I said. "Christmas is this month, doofus!" Cody glared at me. "Be nice to your brother." Maddie glared at Cody, and hugged me. I stuck my toungue out at Cody. Maddie let go of me. "Maddie, school's out for the day, but the spelling bee is open. I need you to watch Zack for me." Mom told Maddie. "I'll do it." Maddie smiled. I happily grinned and leaned on Maddie's shoulder. Mom smiled. "Okay then." She grabbed Cody and left. Maddie giggled. "What's so funny?" I asked. "You have chocolate all over your mouth." Maddie laughed and wiped my mouth with a napkin. I blushed. Maddie held my hand and we both walked out of the suite, to the elevator, and to the lobby. We walked to the counter. Maddie released my hand and stood by the counter. She sat on the stool. All of a sudden, I heard rushing. Maddie and I rushed to the front door by the window. "It's snowing!" Maddie squealed. I smiled at her, and suddenly fell backwards in the snow. Maddie giggled and threw a snowball at me. I stood up and ran to her, tickling her. She giggled. Wow, she's ticklish! She fell in the snow, and I fell on top of her. "Christmas is next week." She said. I looked into her eyes. She stared back. I leaned in, she didn't stop me. "Maddie-" Began London Tipton, running outside. She noticed Maddie in the snow and I was still on her. "I can explain." Maddie told her. London grinned and raced back inside. I climbed off of her and stood up, and she suddenly tackled me to the ground. "Payback." She smirked. "Come on." She stood and grabbed my hand, making me stand up. We ran back inside together to the counter.
Maddie's POV:
Now I had to admit, what just happened here was kind of fun. But, wait. He almost kissed me! My heart was racing. What was happening?! What is this strange feeling?! Is it love?! No, it can't be! There's a three and a half year age difference! But maybe London's right.. maybe age is just a number. I snapped out of my trance and smiled at Zack. He smiled back. Our eyes once again locked. We just stared at each other. Finally, Zack broke the silence. "Well, it's almost Christmas. What are you gonna get me?" He asked. I laughed. "You'll have to find out." "Give me a hint!" "No way!" I picked up a magazine and began reading. Zack sat on the couch and also read a magazine.
~Christmas Day~
Zack's POV:
At last, it was Christmas! I got dressed. There on the couch was Madeline Fitzpatrick. I ran to her. "Merry Christmas, Zack!" Maddie gave me a warm smile. I sat next to her on the couch and hugged her. She hugged me back. "Tonight is the ball. I'm singing! Isn't that wonderful?! I'm singing for the guy who I care about deeply, and I love him." I felt myself frown. Sigh. I guess it's time to lose hope. She fixed her bangs and kissed my cheek. My frown turned into a stupid smile. Why does that happen all the time?! She ran to the elevator. I winced and followed her. She pressed the button. When the doors opened, she walked out, grabbing my arm and running to London's suite. She knocked. London opened the door, grabbing us and closing the door. "Alright, guys! Make-over time! Yay us!" London squealed. Two make-over artists ran and shoved Maddie and I in the closet to Make-Over World in two seperate booths.
Maddie's POV:
I smiled happily. Finally, after all these years of London mocking my hair, I could finally show her the true Maddie inside of me! I sat down on the bench. My make-up artist took my hair in his hands. He shook his head and straightened out my hair. I couldn't wait to show myself off to everyone... especially Zack...
London's POV:
Hm. It's been a while. I hate Maddie and Zack's hair, so this will be great! Lalalalala... BREATHE, BREATH! Sigh. OOH, SHINY LIGHTBULB!
~Four hours later~

Zack walked from the closet.

I turned and looked at Maddie. She was beautiful as ever! Maddie smiled at me. "Nice hair." She gave me a small pat on the head. London grinned. "Stay here until two hours before the ball starts!" "Sounds good to me." I sighed, my attention focused on Maddie.
~Long hours later until the ball~

Zack looked so hot, if I say so myself! Wait, did I just think that?! I smiled and shook my head. I took Zack's hand and rushed out of London's suite, down to the lobby. Zack stared at me. I could tell he didn't like me like a friend, but more like a friend. I kissed his forehead. He blushed. I smiled. "..And now performing 'My Light,' live from the Tipton Hotel, young fifteen-year-old Madeline Fitzpatrick will sing!" Said Mr. Moseby in a microphone. The hotel was packed with thousands of people, plus we were also being watched on TV. I knew because of the camera crew and news people. I grew nervous. "Scared?" Zack asked. I whimpered and nodded. "It'll be okay." Zack assured me in his sweet tone. I smiled. "As long as I'm with you, I know it'll be okay." I told him and winked. He nearly passed out. I giggled and walked to the center of the lobby, taking the microphone. Mr. Moseby walked off. Music started playing. Everyone looked at me. The lights turned off, but the spotlight turned on. I smiled happily and began singing.

Everyone began clapping. Tears streaked my cheeks. I gave the microphone back to Mr. Moseby. I looked around for Zack. He wasn't there. I ran to the elevator and pressed the buttons. When I was at the roof, I noticed Zack was sitting at the edge of the building, looking up at the dark sky. "Hey." I smiled and sat next to him. "Hey." He replied. "What's wrong?" I asked worriedly. "Earlier you said you were singing for the guy you love." Zack told me. I smiled. So this is what it was about. Zack loved me! "Wanna know who that special someone is?" I asked him. Zack frowned and looked down. I scooted closer to him. "That special someone, Zackary, was you." He looked up at me. I wrapped my arms around his neck. Zack smiled. I leaned my forehead against his, and our eyes locked. We looked through each other's eyes and leaned in. We kissed.
No POV:
What Zaddie didn't know was that a small camera was inside the wall, watching their every move. They were being watched by everyone in the lobby. They smiled and happily clapped. Cody felt the need to do something. He marched up to London and gave her a kiss on the lips. London clung to him. A few minutes later, Zaddie came out of the elevator. Everyone clapped and cheered. "There was a camera attached to the wall." A newsreporter told them. Zaddie looked at each other and smiled. "I think we have one more thing to do." Maddie told Zack. She pulled him to the center of the stage, and grabbed microphones for each of them. Maddie began singing.
"I never felt this feeling before.
Alas, my dream came true.

Zack pitched in.
"And now at last we're together.
Let's all celebrate.

Suddenly, everyone in the lobby joined in the song and began clapping.

Maddie and Zack walked outside while everyone was singing and clapping. Fireworks exploded into the air. They smiled at each other and wrapped their arms around each other. They leaned in and kissed.
