Prologue
The Wicked Sanctuary

It was a rather normal, starry night where sat an old man on his throne. To the King, it was actually a very stressful day. The war between the Warlocks, and Werewolves have been taking a toll on him. He had his wrinkled hands buried in his dark, graying hair, clutching locks of it tightly in his hands. His thumbs were massaging his temples slowly, and rhythmically.
"Max!" He calls with a roar, not helping his headache at all. He immediately regrets his actions with a groan of pain, as well as impatience.
"Max!!" He screams louder, it not even being five seconds of waiting.
A young, short, timid looking man scurries in like a frightened mouse with panic shown in his eyes. He clasps his hands together behind his back as he approaches the King, trying to hide the fact that he was shaking terribly. "Y-yes, King Decebel?" He stutters.
"Fetch me my son." The King commands, softly. His voice, deep, and firm, ended with a sigh to show his obvious exhaustion. Though the sound was soft, and almost gentle in a way, it still sent chills up the servant's spine.
Fear shoots through Max as soon as he said those four simple words. "I-I'm afraid, your majesty, your son is not here at the moment."
Decebel straightens as his anger surges through his body. "What!"
Max shivers, and holds back a small whimper. The King made him feel so small, and weak. Like a mouse caught in the jaws of a wicked cat. "Last I-I heard, he went out..."
At that moment, the servant hated the prince for always putting him in these situations. If only he did his duty, and acted like a true prince, instead of frolicking around like a drunken fool he is.
King Decebel's indigo blue eyes darken to an almost obsidian color. "Find him then!" He snarls, leaning forward in his throne, glaring at Max.
"B-But sire,-"
The ivory doors on the end of the throne room suddenly burst open, letting in a gust of chilling air from the night. Following in slowly behind, was a young man, and a woman hanging off of his arm. Together, they stumble forward then giggle drunkenly.
The boy had rich auburn hair but it was covered by a silly red, purple, and green "magician"  top hat. His violet eyes were half closed as a stupid grin came across his face as he stared at the drunk girl beside him. The woman was giggling as she bats her lashes at the prince. She leaned forward, and trailed her finger down his chest, making them both burst into another round of giggles.
King Decebel was disgusted at the scene, at his son. "Drake!"
The boy looks up lazily, as if his head weighed to much. "Father...? Hello, Father! You will never guess what I saw outside!"
The King, exhausted as he is, sighs. "Amuse me.."
Prince Drake went on proudly, as if he didn't detect the sarcasm. "I was coming home after a long day at the bar, and I saw some incredibly ugly beasts being pulled out of a trailer by bones!" He grins, then laughs as if it was the most hilarious thing in the world.
His father did not seem to think it was that funny, he sighs with a scowl. "What have I done to deserve such a disgrace of a son?"
"Ouchy, Papa!" Drake chuckles, swaying slowly where he stood, making the girl beside him giggle.
"Your majesty." A guard in a black cloak, with the hood up enters gracefully like Death himself. It looked as if he was floating.
"What?" The King snaps.
"Your Hellicorns have arrived." The guard says calmly, as if he wasn't aware of the tension floating in the air. It made Max wonder how he got the power to do such a thing without practically wanting to run out with his tail between his legs.
Decebel's eyes light up. "Have they? Bring them in!"
"I told you, Father." Drake slurs.
"Oh... and take her with you." He waves a hand at the brunette beside his son with absolute distaste.
"What shall I do with her, Sire..?"
"I don't care, just get rid of her."
"It would be my pleasure." He bows, and turns away, making his cloak flap behind him. He walks towards the exit, the black cloth flowing behind him like a waterfall of black ink. He walks past Drake, and the girl without a glance. Right as he glides out the doors, he waves a hand, and an orange glow surrounds the drunk brunette. As if a rope had been tied around the girl's legs, she falls down with a late reacted yelp. As soon as she realizes that she is being dragged out of the castle, she began to claw at the ground, and scream, like a monster was dragging her out.
"Hey!" The prince pouts, like a whiny child.
The King stood, and approached his son in large strides. He raised a hand, and back-handed his son across his cheek. He glares at the boy in front of him, as the slap echoed around the castle, "You disgust me." He brushes past him as the sound of clicking, and clopping was heard, and getting closer.
Drake held a hand against his red cheek after a moment, staring at the empty space in front of him. The slap was hard enough to sober him up. "You...hit me.." He whispers with disbelief, not blinking with shock.
Decebel did not respond as he stares at the entrance, waiting silently. He was to excited to see these beasts that he had ordered. He was sure that the Warlocks will win this war, for once they will be using other supernatural beings. He only bought the best, and tonight, the Captains' horses are coming in.
He stares outside through the doors, for a moment he studied the night sky, and the forest trees figures in the moonlight. Then a light could be seen, and then the line of flaming beasts could be seen. They enter the castle slowly, giving the King a good view of what they look like.
They had the similar forms to horses, but way larger than the average size. They had jagged, sharp stone horns attached to their noses that were sure to cause fatal injuries. They had stone like metal all along the top part of their bodies like armor, including on the face. The beasts had fire all along their bodies, and flames on their hooves. They also had no lips, and cheeks, it all looked like skeleton there. Their eyes glowed orange like the flames along their backs, making them just look even more intimidating.
Beside each Hellicorn was a skeleton, holding a silver chain that was attached to the neck, and horn. The lead skeleton moves over to the King with the largest beast, he holds out the chains, and makes a clicking sound with it's teeth as if talking.
The Hellicorn suddenly sneezes at the skeleton, snorting out smoke. The fire on it's neck blazing up as it sneezes. The fire crackles, and roars before it settles down as the beast shakes it's head.
The King takes the chains eagerly, making the Hellicorn move a few steps towards him with another snort, smoke blowing at Decebel.
Decebel did not seem to mind, and just studied the beast. "Beautiful." He grins.
"Father!" Drake growls, impatiently.
He was, again, ignored.
The lead skeleton holds out a clipboard with several papers on it, and a sewing needle. He clicks his teeth again, making the King nod.
He grabs the board, and reads the papers. It was to make sure he actually got his delivery. Decebel read it over anyway.

The King nods, and grabs the needle. He pricks his index finger deeply so the blood would flow out quickly. He takes his finger, and presses it down on the small line. He withdraws his finger to see a blood finger print. He hands the clipboard, and needle back to the skeleton, then was given a letter, along with ten documents for each Hellicorn bought.
King Decebel takes the papers. He scans the letter over quickly, noticing that it was truly hand written, and not typed up like the receive form.

Dear King Decebel,
I understand that you have ordered more than just the Hellicorns. Your other orders are much tougher to train, and will take a little more time. Forgive me for the inconvenience, you will be receiving a 20% off for this mistake.
Thank you for your patience,
Evelyn

He grins, then looks at the skeleton. "Guards! Bring me seven gold bars!"
The guards in the throne room all bow and move to the chest by the throne. Three of them all open the chest, and bring out the golden, gleaming bars. They were heavy, and obviously worth a lot. They move up to the King.
"Take it out with them, and send the Captains in for their new steeds." Decebel orders.
They nod, and follow the unoccupied skeletons outside, including the leading one. The other nine stayed with the other Hellicorns, waiting for them to be taken. They began to click to themselves.
"Father." Drake groans.
"Silence, boy! You know your behavior is beyond is unacceptable, yes?"
The Prince did not respond, fortunately. He had realized that his father is just over the edge, but that didn't stop his head from becoming a broken record of cuss words.
"You were not at the important council meeting today, like you promised! I don't think you understand that this is real! We are at war with the mutts! Instead of being useful, you were out wasting yourself." He snarls.
"I know, I-"
"Silence! I do not want your pitiful excuses! You came home drunk, with a *censored* on your arm. Perhaps, you are not meant for the throne." All patience was gone, the King was done. "I must step down soon, and you are not meant for the ti
tle as King."
"Father, wait-"
"The people doubt you, Son! They doubt you, they do not trust you. You think they don't know about your reputation? Getting drunk all night, sleeping around, going around saying that you're a magician?! I will not tolerate it any longer!"
"I know I have not been the best-"
"Damn right! Your poor mother is probably shifting restlessly in her grave because of these ridiculous actions. May she rest in peace regardless..." Decebel looks away, staring at the Hellicorn in front of him.
Those harsh words struck Drake right in the heart, sending guilt surging through his body.
The King knew those words struck home, so his voice softens. "I just don't know what to do with you anymore.." He turns back to the beast, after a long intense moment. That moment was awkwardly silent, both of them having no idea what to say. Then Decebel straightens as an idea pops into his brain.
"Actually...." He grins, pausing with excitement. He suddenly raises a hand, a red aura coming from it, circling it. The ground in front of them cracks a little, making the Hellicorn snort nervously. The cracks continued to spread, and stretch out across the floor like a web.
A screech echoes through the throne room, making Drake cover his ears with a wince. It sounded like nails on a chalkboard, a whistle, then the sound of the Velociraptor from Jurassic Park. This worried the Prince, he didn't know what is going on.
Suddenly, the ground shakes, and out bursts a flaming bird. It was orange, with black wings, and beak. It was huge about the size of three basketballs stacked on each other. It was one of Decebel's precious Phoenixes. This one was in the shape of a Bearded Vulture. "You think Evelyn will like this one? I was told vultures were her favorite birds."
"What is the meaning of this, Father?!"
The King just shoves the chains to the Hellicorn into Drake's hands. The Prince scrunches up his nose, and scoots away from the beast like it was the plague.
Decebel watches as the phoenix lands on his shoulder, he pulls out pen, and paper. "The meaning? It means you'll be spending some time at The Wicked Sanctuary."
