"Food for sale! Raspberries are 50 TU each!" Sebastian Cole sauntered down the busy street.
Usually it wasn't so busy, but today was market day. Riian, a sepia Zenirix and his older brother, wandered about here and there, glancing at a table full items of all sorts before continuing on.
The raven black sky glittered with stars.
Suddenly, SC (Sebastian Cole) saw a magnificent glowing shape in the sky.
It was a Mirabilis! They were rare around here, in Relcore..
He-- or she-- had blue, yellow, black, and magenta feathers, and glowed brilliantly in the moon-less night.
It was there only for a moment or two, and then, with a swish, it was gone.
Sebastian C. blinked. Had it been his imagination?
Perhaps not. Maybe it was. He debated silently in his head.
He may never know.

Darkness.. Murmurs Blackberrii couldn't quite hear... A beautiful ink black Kioka, with blue, pink, and yellow ribbons..
A bang, louder than anything she had ever heard.. Metal bars. Cold. No food, water..her throat was parched.
Her eyes, dull and nearly lifeless. A Mirabilis, looking the same.
Images flashed through her head, one by one, ones she didn't want to see..
Please save us, dear child. Free us from our prison..
A quick image of fire.
Then she woke up gasping.
A dream, Blackberrii reassured herself. Just a dream.
But even she could not believe it was just that.
