Sure, today is nice and sunny but there's nothing that can replace my broken heart. Millions of questions race through my head. Will mother be okay? When will she return? Where can she be? It just never made sense. You see, my mother has taken the risk of  her own life and running all the way to the big city. She said it was for our own good. Why did she run there? It's no mystery. Of course, mother had no other choice. My father, who is currently in his bed. He has cancer. The problem is, that we can't afford to live in the big city where all the shops and doctors are. So my mother has gone off to the big city to buy father some medication. Fortunately, our family has saved up enough money for the medication. It's been three days and I'm nothing but a hopeless, worried girl.

Suddenly, I heard some thumping. Probably just baby Emma. i thought. The noise got louder and louder. No, baby Emma does not make such noises...unless. "Father." I finally said. I ran to his room with all my energy and burst open the door. "Fathers...go...gone." I said with a shaky voice. I felt wet tears coming down my cheeks. Father misses mom. I know it's been three days. He is worried. We"re all worried. I never have suspected Father to go look for mother. I wipe my tears and stood up strait. Mother and Father are out there somewhere. I need to find them. I thought.

"Amy?" Baby Emma said. "Emma, I"m glad that your learning my name. Really, I am but right now what's important is finding mother and father. I say. Emma blinks confused. I lean over and pick up Emma from her small, baby crib which causes a loud creaking noise and gently place her in the dirty, but safe blanket. I grab a handful of her baby clothes and her baby bottle. I run downstairs. "Okay. it looks like i have everything we need. Now it's time to look for mother and father...in the big city.' Saying that already makes me feel sick inside. I never went to the big city before but its worth finding mother and father.

It was a horrible two days of camping out and eating canned food but we're here. The big city. Mother. Father. Me. Emma. Everything is going to be back to normal. I walk down the paths and find myself out of breath. I take a sip of water and continue. I see strangers looking at me as if I were part of the circus. There's the hospital...where the doctors are...and doctors mean medicine and medicine means mother! I pull open the door and head inside.

I see a bunch of doctors walking around and there she is. "Mom." I said. She heard me. Her face brightened. "Amy!" She says. I couldn't stop smiling. "Mother...where's father?" I stopped smiling. "Amy. Your father is safe. He came all the way here for some reason. So I put him with the doctor...he's not gonna make it." I looked at her. My eyes starting to sting. "Mother. I..I.. I wish I could fix this." I said trying to force my tears from coming out. "Amy, I know. Your father was wonderful. But remember. Just remember that it's not our fault. We tried. I know. Don't think it was all for nothing because the memories we have made together will never just..vanish. It will keep us strong no matter what happens.

Ever night after that day I lay in bed thinking about father. I will miss him. But mother is right. Our memories will never just vanish. I will always remember father. He'll always be in my heart. I'll miss him but he'll always be the best father of mine. And that. Will never change.
