"It won't hurt you."
It was probably the thousandth time she said that. Nosing the sepia Meiko into the Bio Scanner, she looked behind her. About a hundred creatu were snaking behind her, all waiting to be scanned in hopes of earning their owners a quest point.
A rather familiar buzzing sound rang. "I'm sorry," She muttered, "It seems like we already have a sepia Meiko scanned."
The Meiko lumbered away in disappointment, and Phaeda hurriedly continued the tiring routine of scanning pets. A few long hours later, she was finally done. Slumping next to the bio scanner, she allowed sleep to envelop her.

A masked creature loomed over her a batch of spiny eggs as the large female hissed at him protectively. An airy laugh escaped the intruder as he scooped up five of the eggs, ignoring the prickly sensation as he fled, leaving the female with only one egg. She carefully nosed her remaining egg, her long legs dancing across the tall weeds that had failed to hide her and her family.
Minutes became hours, hours became days, days eventually turning into months. The long-limbed creature waved her tail at the masked creature - her parent for as long as she could remember. "Phaeda!" He called. "Assist me in capturing this stubborn Ardur, please."
Phaeda bounded over, clamping her small paws over the squirming Ardur, whose activity had ceased to a weak writhing ever so often. She carefully placed the Ardur into an orb - something her master had taught her over the months - carefully. The bubble thinned before her, welcoming the Ardur like a trespasser, then freezing the serpent in it's clutches for eternity.
