AHEM, I believe I should start reading the story now.. Enjoy <3
"We're going to die out here!" Avalon said, with her long, brown hair flowing behind her. "N-No! We can make it! I-" Draco got cut off. And before he could say a word he was knocked off the mossy log and quickly reached for the closest branch. "Draco, are you alright?" Avalon yelled to Draco, a few flights below. "Yeah! I-I'm okay! Just call for a creatu!" Avalon nodded, her ears and tail drooping. She took out a whistle, and the purple scar on her face glowed. She blew the whistle and seconds later, Draco could hear sounds all around him.. But they weren't everyday animal sounds. There were countless animals flying under him, but one stayed the whole time. It was a manta-ray like creatu. It was almost see-through, but still quite gold. "A blonde Galta?" Avalon whispered to herself, as Draco let go of the branch and landed safely on the Galta's back. The creature flew up to Avalon, allowing her to step on it's back. Before she knew it, Avalon had fallen asleep on the warm back of the Galta.
"Hello? Anyone there?" Avalon whispered, slowly walking into her basement to check out the mysterious sounds. "A-Anyone?" She said, a little louder this time. Avalon turned her head to where she hear a small squeak of a mouse-or what she thought was a mouse. After all, she had seen some strange creatures since she moved into her new house. A whisper flowed in the wind, and it slowly drifted through the girl's mind. "Aaaavalloon... Coooome ovvverrr herrrree.." The words hit her harder than lightning. "W-Who's that? What a-are you?" Avalon trembled. She looked to where the voice was coming from. Two blue eyes, followed by white horns, scars, and claws. Then, slowly but surely, Avalon watched a ghastly creature come into shape. "Heellllooo.. Avvaaalon.." The monster spoke. "I get it, I'm dreaming! Time to wake up, me!" Avalon yelled to herself, even though she knew this was not a dream. "Who are you.. And why are you here, h-how to you know my name and-" Avalon couldn't bring anymore words out of her mouth. She was terrified of the creature, while being amazed at the same time. "Iiii ammm Akeoiiiii, buuutt forrr you'rrreee helllp, I'mm a siiiilllver Jakkkku.." Avalon was confused. "What's a Jaaku?" She said, trying to figure out what the creature meant. "Iiimm a Jaaaaku..Arrrent youuuu a Rancher?" "Rancher, huh?" Before they could finish their conversation, Avalon was jerked back into reality. Or was she?
Avalon woke up, on her basement floor. The Jaaku was gone. Maybe that WAS a dream.. Avalon said to herself. She went to the basement's mirror to check for any bruises. Because if she was actually awake, surely, it was just her imagination.. Right? As she walked up to the mirror, and she almost fell backwards at what she saw.. There was a purple sword across her eye. She tried to rub it off, but it didn't flinch. "Did I get a tattoo, or something?" she said aloud, still thinking the Jaaku was in the room. She put her hand on the mirror, and her eyes flashed the same color as the sword. A little creature came out of the mirror and hopped on
Avalon, and the sudden surprise made her fall over. She looked up to the thing on her chest. It had blue eyes, dark and light brown striped tail, white ears and scruff. Avalon stared at it, and it stared back. The creature got on all fours and slowly crawled to her face. Although it looked adorable, she put her head back a bit. And thats when the little creature started licking her face! Avalon laughed, and got up to take the little animal off of her. "I'll name you.. Kookie?" She said, trying to find a name that would suit the little guy. The creature jumped up and down, and Avalon said "Kookie it is!" But then she remembered something. Kookie had came.. Out of the mirror? No, that can't be right.. At least she thought so. Kookie lifted up one of his small arms and pointed at the mirror. Avalon picked up Kookie, touching the mirror with her finger.. And it went through. And soon, her entire body followed.
"Kyaaaaaa!" Avalon screeched, as she fell hundreds of miles down. Kookie was holding onto her shirt, struggling to keep hold. Suddenly, Avalon didn't feel so scared. She began flying through the air, as if she knew what to do. She attempted a backflip, and to her delight, it worked! With all this space in the air, there was so much area.. To do everything! But one thought crossed her mind: Where's ground? Surely it's near, as her and Kookie had been falling for almost 10 minutes. Suddenly, Avalon got swooped up by a soft, gray creature. She couldn't make out it's features entirely, only the ones on it's back. It had eagle wings, grey with a black line marking out where the feathers started. "Wait.. Kookie!?" She yelled out, and tried to look for a little fuzzy animal falling. The animal she was riding seemed to know where Kookie was. It swooped under Kookie, so Avalon was able to grab him. She lifted her arms up as high as possible, and she felt his fluffy ears, then his arms, then his warm little body. Soon, after what seemed like hours of falling, the furry animal landed on the ground. Avalon shaked herself awake, got off the animal, and stared in amazement at what she saw. There were birds flying, but not normal birds. Fish swimming, but not normal fish. Animals running, but none of them could be compared to the ones back home. A girl, a little older than Avalon, walked up to her. "Hi, I'm Koani."
Avalon stepped back a bit. She didn't know where she was.. Or if Koani was friendly, for that matter. "I haven't seen you around.. Are you from Reiflem, Scria.. Reclore?" Avalon stared at her with huge eyes. Well, what if she said she wasn't from.. ANY of those.. whatever they were. What would they do to her? "S-Scria.. Where am I?" Koani stared at Avalon. "Well, come to the hotel." Avalon rode the big fluffy animal to a big hotel. While riding back, Koani asked Avalon some questions.. Questions that seemed strange to her. "Did you pack any items?" "N-No, I packed... lightly." Koani smiled, and looked at Kookie.
Koani escorted Avalon to her room, and took Kookie to put him in the play pen. "How'd you get that calico?" Koani questioned, with a suspicious frown on her face. Avalon's scar flickered yellow, and she shakily told Koani "Uh.. uh.. he kinda.. was um.." Koani laughed. "Okay hon, whatever you say." Avalon realized that Koani had left her in a room with two beds, and Avalon turned to where Koani was standing to tell her. She had already left. "Oh.. alright then." Avalon looked at the clock hanging above the window, and decided that maybe she should sleep.. "Heh.. I wonder if Kookie is nocturnal.. " She mumbled to herself, as she drifted off to sleep, forgetting about what had happened.
