Stop Removing Ctrl + Click Ability

I love that the site is getting an updated look in some places and that you can get to so many places from the SB but can the ability to ctrl+click (cmd+click on Mac) get brought back to these places?

I love that the games are now more organized, but I can't ctrl+click to open in a new tab anymore. It's a minor inconvenience but still something that would be nice to have. (Edit: this is fixed now)

More importantly: I adore that we can now reach shops and such from the SB, but in that popup (both on the SB and in the users online list) you cannot open in a new tab with ctrl+click. That means if I want to go look at someone's merchant shop I have to leave the SB to do so. Before, while we could only get to a profile from the SB, it automatically opened in a new tab so your SB was still safely open if you wanted to go peek at another user's links.

There may be other places that I haven't frequented as much that have the same issue but those are the only two I've noticed so far.

Edit 2: NPC shops don't open with ctrl+click from the main NPC shop page

I agree, especially with the control click issue. It makes it way more annoying to go to multiple shops or do multiple games/activities, and I usually just don’t do them as a result.

agreed! this issue is definitely minor, but I was displeased when it was removed. :)

I don't know if you're still reading this Pat (probably not) but trying to ctrl+click on the shops page does a quick "popup blocked" thing in my Chrome and then instantly gives up and opens it in the same tab as if I just clicked normally. I don't even have time to see what the blocked popup was.

I think this kinda ties into this suggestion... I wish the buttons on the user pop up from when you click a name on the shoutbox or search were links instead of buttons. I usually ctrl+click those things to open a new tab, but we can't do that anymore. It's a minor inconvenience, but I've seen some other voice opinions like this as well

Bumping this up because the shops still do a weird popup thing that results in Chrome opening it in the same tab again.

Similarly, re-suggesting that we should be able to ctrl+click from the popups for users so it doesn't cause us to leave the SB when we want to see someone's shop (which would also extend into the users online page I'm guessing because it's the same popup).

When I ctrl+click on a shop, a new tab opens with that shop, but the original tab also navigates to the same shop. Kinda defeats the purpose.

Bump - I completely agree with this! The lack of ctrl-click functionality on the NPC shops page isn't a major issue but it's weird and inconvenient
