March 11, 2018 - Season of Love Has Come to an End
Alas, the Celebration of Love we call Valentine's is ending, but that does not mean that love itself ever ends. It continues on in the newly born Iluvu and Vaspi that have been found, and the friendships that have been forged both old and new. Spring is on its way, and with it comes new life in the form of budding trees, flowers, and even more joy as the snow and ice melts!

But, you might want to know how it fared with Joel and Gwen as he presented the final product of his book binding efforts to her. Here is a quick little story of how Joel presented "Unveiling the Iluvu" to his beloved Gwen.

"My dear, forgive me for being so aloof from you during our favorite season this year," Joel said as he entered the room where Gwen sat with her favorite Iluvu. "I do hope you did not believe I was avoiding you."

"Never, my dearest, though I did have suspicions that you were planning something. The dinner last year was fabulous! And you are ever so poor at being sneaky." Gwen replied kindly.

"It is true, I lack stealthy skills, but perhaps I shall surprise you this time," Joel said, bringing forth a red and pink wrapped package from behind him. Gwen's face lit up as she saw it. "It took me a while to get this right, but rather than just plan a nice dinner, I thought to give you something you'd treasure forever," he said, handing it to her with a flourish.

Gwen accepted the package eagerly, and as the wrapping fell from it, the book called "Unveiling the Iluvu" was revealed in all of its loving perfection. "My pages! You have bound them together! Oh Joel, this is so lovely!"

"Not as lovely as you, my dearest Gwen," Joel replied. "Shall we read it together?"

"Oh yes, lets!" Gwen agreed full-heartedly as he swept her into his embrace.

Once again, the perfect love between Gwen and Joel has found the perfect expression in the form of a gift made not of currency, but effort and practice. As the Vaspi and Iluvu return to their wild lands and abandon the seasonal breeding grounds, you can be certain that the romance between Rescreatu's favorite lovers is strong and secure. As for the Spring, we sense much more joy soon to come. Are you ready?

They say a writer's greatest talent lay not in writing, but in procrastination. Well, I'm here to warn you that the time for procrastination is over! Your deadline approaches!

This is a friendly reminder from the Rescreatu Staff that the Publish A Book contest submissions are due by March, 12 at reset. If you have not yet sent your entry to Geonightrose, please do! Late entries will not be accepted.
