Vintage Pilot

I live and dream my life in flight
Above the clouds where the air
Is the warmest and the birds
Fly free and easy on the thermals
When I was a kid the question
Always was, what superpower
Would you choose? Why flight of course
To see the world the way the stars do
Blues and greens spread out below
The fact that people, from this height
Are about as significant as the ants
Really says a lot about our true place
In the cosmos, doesn’t it?
