Alert items are special items that you can use to send another user a special alert. Most of these are retired/I don't know if they will ever be rereleased.
Here's a list of all of the alert items currently on site, how many exist, where they came from, whether or not they are retired and the message they send when used!

Some of these items do not show up as "retired" in the database, but I have placed the label "currently retired" on anything that definitely is no longer obtainable from the game, to my knowledge. That may be subject to change later on, though.
Some of these items also released and retired before I joined the site. This list is made from my own personal knowledge, so if I miss something or anyone happens to know where the ones with "(?)" markers came from, please leave a comment! I'd love your help~
