Artist InterviewsI am happy to be bringing you another artist interview segment. I hope that in doing so I am allowing you to get to know your artists a little better! Enid_Black: I like being here for the simple fact that my art is being put to good use. I can contribute my artistic abilities here and actually get something worth while out of it. I can also get my artwork out there for anything and everything that may come my way. I also love being part of something that can, and most likely will, become quite popular. Putried: BLUE NAME! Well, if I was more sentimental I would have to say that I like being a part of something. I like looking at other people's work and just to know that I, in my own ways, help the site. Manta: As staff, I get to go behind the scenes and witness the creative processes and such. And I feel I've really improved on my work since I started drawing for Res. Waelcyrie: Hands down, the people I've met and work with. I have met several people that I know I will have lifelong friendships with. I also love the behind-the-scenes look. Ledene: I love making graphics and knowing that they will represent users on the forums. I also love the other people on staff. It's a lot of fun and I'm learning by working. Tell us the best Creatu name you have heard or come up with EB: I'm quite partial to Zaphao. I think it flows off the tongue in an odd but nice way. That and the Creatu seems to really fit with the name. P: Come up with? I'm not cool enough to come up with a name yet, but the best name is Kayoki. W: Draqua. I love the way it sounds. It slides off the tongue. L: The best one I've come up with is an Intes named Dumbledore. The adult Intes looks like it's wearing a wizard's hat. What is your favorite revamped Creatu so far and why? EB: The Veram. Neko's lines are amazing and I'm just glad I did them justice when coloring them, though I also really like the Kayoki's 'retouch' as it's my favorite Creatu. Now it just looks even better. P: Valabex, easily. The detail of it, just everything about it. M: All revamps have been excellent so far. Besides mine, of course. W: The Veram. It's a slightly sinister cutie. You don't know if it will snuggle you or eat out your heart. L: I love all the revamps. It's too hard to pick just one! If you had to design a Creatu that represented you, what would it be like? EB: Definitely like my fursona: a rabbit-like creature with droopy ears, a long, poofy tail, a color scheme of pink, grey, black, and white, and a sharp set of teeth to match. P: Something amazing. Maybe a bird with huge, long wings that are silver and blue. Preferably with some sort of weapon attached to it. Yes, birds don't have hands, but it's my Creatu! M: I've already designed the Goiba, which may represent my usually withdrawn personality. And I like frogs. W: A great black ravenesque looking bird. Or a black dragon creature. Something "dark" and sinister, with Celtic overtones. Nothing cute or girly. L: Like my fursona of course! It is a white fox with interesting green markings and a tiger's tail. What do you enjoy doing in your spare time? EB: I'd like to know what spare time is. Well, during the school year I do just that: go to college. During the summer I do odd jobs and other things to try and make money. Other than that, for amusement, I sit and draw things for myself or for other people. Either that or I write and play music. P: Watching tv, searching the vast wonders of the internet, and I love going out chillin with me mates, nothing better. M: I like wasting my spare time. And wasting time in general. I'm the lazy one. W: Reading, car trips, visiting haunted locations, cuddling my cat, Bodie, watching creepy movies, cooking, and cross-stitching. L: Making graphics of course! And reading, I absolutely love to read. What is your favorite book on and off Rescreatu? EB: On Rescreatu my favorite book is probably The Complete Guide to SPAM. It just amuses me. Off the site I would have to say Salem's Lot . Stephen King is one of my favorite authors and this was the first of his novels I read...and I read it for school too. Lauz...liking a school book? Inconceivable! P: On Rescreatu...hmm, I would say The Book of Holes. Off Rescreatu I would say Buffy the Monster Book. Yeah, but I don't read much, I'm too lazy to read. M: I thought How to Annoy Patrick was very clever. I enjoyed The Kite Runner even though reading it was mandatory. And there's this one book I picked out all by myself... Christopher Hart's How to Draw Animation. W: On Rescreatu...hmmmmm...Guide to Goths. I love the way it looks. Off...lets see...I'm a fanatic of "true" ghost stories. I have hundreds of books on them. Anything paranormal. Historical fiction and historical non-fiction. I have also been known to read obscure titles in old-english and devour physical anthropology textbooks. And of course, Photoshop books. L: I haven't read many books on Res yet, so I don't know about that one. But off of Res it would have to be the Harry Potter series. I'm madly in love with Remus J.
